The Orchid Society of Middle Tennessee has been a gathering of orchid enthusiasts in the Nashville area since 1948 and became affiliated with the American Orchid Society in 1950. Our goal is to bring together anyone who has an interest in orchids, in order to share knowledge and experience and enthusiasm for the hobby and culture of orchid plants. Membership is open to everyone from the extreme novice to the experienced professional greenhouse operator. Our monthly meetings consist of a speaker and a show table and a sales table. We usually have an "Orchids 101" educational class before each meeting too, if possible. We also have snacks and coffee to enjoy during conversation time. Annual membership dues are $25. You do not have to be a member to attend meetings. Membership entitles you to a monthly newsletter and participation at our June auction and picnic and the December Holidays party and other activities.

OSMT meets the 3rd Tuesday of each month (except June and December) at Cheekwood Botanical Gardens in Nashville, promptly at 7pm. The group begins to gather as early as 6pm in order to share pleasant conversation and to buy and trade plants and supplies.
