Cyclopogon lindleyanus

 

 
 
  Cyclopogon lindleyanus is a terrestrial orchid native to Columbia and Ecuador. It blooms during the winter and early spring. Numerous small flowers are produced on erect flower stems.   
     
 

 
 
   This orchid produces very small flowers approximately 1 cm long.  
     
 

 
 
 

 The principle point of interest of this orchid are the lovely variegated green and silver leaves.

Culture: Temperatures 60F to 90F, light 1000 to 2500 fc, humidity 50%+, routine watering to keep the roots moist, and routine light feeding with a balanced 20-20-20 fertilizer.

These photos were taken in January 2002. The blooming occurred from December into late February.
